Keeping Busy

After fishing, the boys played poker (using chips!) at the dining table for a long time. There was constant laughter! I should really have one of the boys write this blog because I know there are a lot of funny things happening. Finally they announced that they were going to take a rest before golfing this afternoon.

Sean served chocolate he purchased in Switzerland last week.

After poker, the boys headed upstairs to their room where we heard constant ruckus and more loud laughter. They emerged in their bathing suits, announcing that they wanted to take the kayaks and river boat for a workout. So much for the "rest."
The boys want to know why we didn't travel to the lake like this.
Landing on the lake

Nick is sitting comfy waiting for the others to get going.
Mike rows to the river boat.
Sean is rowing Grandpa's river boat. Kevin is sitting in the "Queen's spot."
"Hey, Sean, is your Mom ever going to put down that camera??"
"We like it here!"
They've were out on the lake for awhile. Grandma and I were chatting on the porch when I looked in their direction and this is what I saw. There appears to be a missing person in each kayak and one is tipped completely over! (They are all wearing life preservers)
No worries, here they come again.
"This is awesome!"

After I took that last picture, they headed in the opposite direction. They certainly got their exercise (and a few calluses!)
Returning from their 2 hour kayaking / river boating excursion, Kevin and Steve are now on kayaks.
After lunch, it was back into the lake for a swim...and some kind of game that involved pushing one another off the raft:)
"Hi! We're not doing anything we shouldn't!"

Do they look innocent to you??

I'm composing this post while the boys are out on the golf course. It is very overcast but keep your fingers crossed that inclement weather holds off. I'll try to post one more time before bed tonight. ENJOY!

  1. I can't believe how much they do in one day! We just smile as we look at the pictures and read. OHH to be young! Would love to see a picture of grandma and grandpa with the boys. Hope Niagra Falls is lots of fun! Have fun and be safe.
    Love.
